  1. ChoiceStick Software release 1.2.0 Installer notes:

  3. Installation Procedure:
  4. 1) If you have any preferences for applications that you have modified from any
  5.     previous release of the ChoiceStick, use the Export facility from the control panel
  6.     to create installer applettes for those application settings.
  7.  
  8. 2) Run the ChoiceStick Installer 1.0.2 program.
  9.  
  10. 3) After installing the new software, you will restart your Mac.
  11.  
  12. 4) Run any applettes that you created in step 1, to reinstall modified or new
  13.     application settings.

  16. Changes since version 1.0.2:
  17.  
  18. 1) The mouse movement control interface has been completely redone. It's darn cool now. You've got big editing windows with cool thumbnails to see what the settings are, you can enter mouse movement vectors by magnitude and angle if you want, you can constrain directions with the shift key. It's just a lot better.

  20. 2) Support for setting a "default" controller other than the Sega Genesis 6-button type.
  21.  
  22. 3) ChoiceStick "alert" box now tells you how to turn it off.
  23.  
  24. 4) Fkeys and keypad numerics are accurately displayed in keyboard emulation mode.

  26. 5) Configurators are now much better about reprogramming Finder settings after quit of launched application.

  28. 6) A few little other tweaks.

  31. Changes since version 1.0.1:
  32.  
  33. 1) The Control panel opening sequence has been further improved. It is even faster to open than was 1.0.1. The "out-of-sequence" sorting of some items has been fixed.

  35. 2) Problems with programming the diagonal directions with Atari™ 2600™ and 7800™ joysticks have been fixed.
  36.  
  37. 3) Problems with the mappings of the Sega® Master System™ joysticks with respect to the settings for other joystick styles have been fixed.

  39. 4) The incompatibility between the ChoiceStick Toolbox and At Ease™ has been fixed.
  40.  
  41. 5) Several other cosmetic and other bug fixes that no one probably ever encountered except us.

  44. Changes since version 1.0:
  45.  
  46. 1) The Control panel will now open up immediately after being double-clicked or
  47.     selected from the Control Panels Apple Menu heirarchical list. It takes a bit of time
  48.     to read in all the settings for all the applications the ChoiceStick supports, and this
  49.     time is now being deferred until the control panel itself is open.
  50.  
  51. 2) You can now type the first letter of an application to go directly to applications
  52.     starting with that letter. This may take a few seconds before you can type letters
  53.     late in the alphabet, however, since we're loading the application list alphabetically.
  54.  
  55. 3) Calling up the Edit Window by hot-key for new applications is now much faster.
  56.  
  57. 4) The "canned" preferences that come with the ChoiceStick now include settings for
  58.     the Finder that emulate mouse movement for the joystick/joypad, button A is a
  59.     single mouse click, button B is a command-W (close window), and the start button is
  60.     configured for double-clicking. We also added settings for a few new applications.
  61. NOTE: Your old Preferences file will be overwritten by the Installer program, so you
  62.     should Export any preferences you may have modified from the initial release, and
  63.     run the Import applette once you have run the Installer and restarted.
